About Hendra
Education should expand what a child believes is possible.

The Journey
My relationship with education is personal. When I was preparing for college, my family did not have much money, so continuing my education was never something I could take for granted.
I worked part-time, kept moving forward, and received help from people who believed in me. Their support taught me that effort matters, but opportunity is rarely created by effort alone. Sometimes a person moves forward because someone else chooses to open a door.
I began in English education, drawn to the way language could open up a wider world. That path grew into global learning, school leadership, teacher development, child protection, community work, and technology.
The experience of struggling to access education still shapes my work today. I do not want a child's financial circumstances to decide whether quality education feels possible. My commitment is to help widen access and create more pathways for children to learn, grow, and imagine a larger future.
North Maluku is not simply where I work. It is the context that keeps this purpose practical, local, and accountable.
Current work
I am a founder and educator at Rahai School, helping shape its culture, systems, people, and purpose.
I support Positive Discipline and SETARA training, advocate for child-safe schools, and work with educators on practical professional growth.
I am also developing school technology and exploring how AI can reduce unnecessary administrative work without reducing human judgment.
